Wishes

I wish to be fit, I wish to be free,
I wish to be proud of the person I see,
I wish to be strong, I wish to be brave,
I wish to break out of this desolate cave.

I wish to be loved, I wish to be kind,
I wish to be free of this bipolar mind,
I wish to be heard, I wish to stand tall,
I wish to feel safety, once and for all.

I wish to be honest, I wish for respect,
I wish to be free to express intellect,
I wish to be noble, I wish to be fair,
I wish to ride fast with the wind in my hair.

I wish to be funny, I wish to be cool,
I wish to contend with societies rule,
I wish to be charming, I wish yang for yin,
I wish to be comfortable in my own skin.

I wish to be challenged, I wish to be great,
I wish to be happy with what’s on my plate,
I wish to be noticed, I wish to decide,
I wish to relinquish that impulse to hide.

I wish to move forward, I wish to be true,
I wish to see rainbows and stop feeling blue,
I wish to have mercy, I wish to forgive,
I wish to be one who can finally live.
